My personal definition of
~Pencil Art~
Pencil Art is just that...artwork done with graphite pencil from beginning to end. No bright colors, just the magic of lines, shadows, and sparkling eyes. The darkest color I can achieve with graphite (pencil) is a dark, dark gray...as a result, black pets, or pets with black markings, become "black" with shadows, contrasts and illusion, as you can see in my portfolio.
A full spectrum of color in a work of art is a beautiful thing, but so is the focus on fine detail in a pencil portrait of limited color. Your job is to choose between the two.
